Top-Performing Schools in Kigezi Region Share Secrets to Success

KISORO: School authorities in the Kigezi sub-region have been encouraged to adopt new teaching tactics to achieve high performance in 2025.

This call follows the release of the 2024 Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) results by the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) on January 23, 2025.

Amos Hakizimana, Director of Real Quality Primary School in Kisoro district, emphasized the importance of teacher commitment and collaboration between teachers, parents, and directors.

Hakizimana stressed that directors should participate in teaching to motivate teachers and that most candidates enjoy mathematics as a topic.

His call for innovative teaching techniques aims to build on the successes of top-performing schools in the region with Hakizimana’s school ranked first in the Kigezi region and fifth nationally out of over 15,000 schools.

Other Best performers in the region include St. Allen’s Primary School of Kisoro which was ranked 38th, Ineza Parents 157, Read Pri and Primary School the 240th, Amazing Grace Primary School the 262nd, Kabale Preparatory School 75th, Bishop Asili Nursery Primary School placed 80th nationally.
