American Tourist Killed in Uganda Road Accident

KANUNGU: A fatal road crash occurred early this morning in Kakureiju village, Kanungu District, resulting in the death of an American tourist.
The crash involved a Toyota Land Cruiser carrying American tourists, which lost control and rolled several times before ending up in Kyeshero Bridge.
According to eyewitnesses, the vehicle failed to break while navigating a sharp corner on a slope, causing it to crash and resulting in the death of Shuldman Harrison Evan, 40, a resident of New York, USA.
Three others were injured in the crash, including Zachary Avayou, 39, a resident of Pennsylvania, USA; Jeremy Frederick Wright, 25, a resident of California, USA; and Alpha Dadaire, 33, the driver.
The traffic police spokesperson Michael Kananura confirmed that the injured victims were rushed to Bwindi Hospital for treatment, while the deceased was conveyed to the same hospital.
He added that the motor vehicle has been towed and parked at Kihihi Police Station pending inspection and further inquiries.
Kananura further said that the incident is currently under investigation by the police, who are working to determine the cause of the crash.
