Unknown Driver on the Run After Kabale Road Crush Claims Boda Boda Rider’s Life

Kabale, Uganda – Police in Kabale are currently investigating circumstances under which a boda boda rider died in a road accident along Kabale-Lake Bunyonyi murram road on Friday.

According to the Kigezi police Spokesperson ASP Elly Maate, the deceased has been identified as Ngabirano Wilber, 33, a resident of Kiyora village, Kitumba sub-county, Kabale district.

Sources indicate that the accident occurred when an Isuzu Elf motor vehicle, UBB 675Y, driven by an unknown driver currently at large, collided with Wilber’s motorcycle, UEY 865V.

It is alleged that the Isuzu driver experienced brake failure, leading to the collision. Wilber sustained severe injuries and was rushed to the hospital, where he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.

Maate confirmed to this reporter that the police were notified of the incident, and a team led by ASP Mucunguzi, OC Traffic, visited the scene to investigate.

A sketch plan was drawn, statements were recorded, and Wilber’s body was taken to Kabale Referral Hospital mortuary for a post-mortem examination as the Inquiries are still ongoing.
