The Kisoro-Kabale Fatal Road Accident Leads To A Tragic Demise Of A Turn Man.
KISORO: Police in Kisoro District are currently investigating the circumstances under which a 38 -year-old turn man died in a Fatal Road along the Kisoro-Kabale Road.
The deceased has been identified as Abudallatif Tumuhise, who died today at 3:20 PM at Kagano village, Muhindura parish, Kanaba Sub County, Kisoro District, in an incident involving multiple vehicles.
It’s alleged that, a motor vehicle UBL124F Fuso fighter which was travelling from Kabale side to Kisoro carrying Soda Ash (salt) as it was sloping at Kanaba corners, developed a mechanical problem with its brakes failing to stop.
In the process the driver lost control, knocked a Mercedes Benz UBG165K being driven by Kitaali Abudalla 53 from behind, went ahead and collided with Hawo Sino Truck UBK970D/UBN491E being driven by Lwanga Robert 48 head on hence killing the turn man in the Fuso fighter instantly.
The Kigezi region police spokesperson ASP Elly Maate confirmed the accident and reported saying that the accident Scene was visited by a team of traffic officers led by Asp Kushaba Micheal and the deceased’s body taken to Kisoro hospital for postmortem
Maate added that the relevant Statements were recorded from both the Benz and Sino Truck motor drivers as a manhunt Launched for the unknown driver of a Fuso Fighter who is still at large.
Both the Motor vehicles were towed to Kisoro Central Police Station pending inspection and a Fatal Road Accident Registered under the file Number TAR 30/2024.
