A driver discovered dead in a Lodge in Mbarara City
MBARARA: Police at Central Police Station Mbarara in Mbarara City are investigating circumstances surrounding a death of a man who was found dead in a lodge in Mbarara City.
The deceased has been identified as Murindwa Isaac Isooke alias Mutooro 30, a resident of Kyenjojo District who’s his dead body was discovered lying on the bed in a room at Carlo Guest bar and lodges in Rwebikoona Cell, Kamukuzi ward Mbarara City.
It’s alleged that the deceased hired a room at the said guest house for a night at around 10:00 PM on Wednesday and the following day in the morning at around 7:00 AM the manager at the guest house tried to wake him up as a normal checkup policy and was not responding.
The manager rushed to report the matter to Police that responded to the scene and broke the window to view what was in the room and the lifeless body of the deceased was seen lying on the bed prompting the Police to forcefully break into the door to access the room.
According to the Rwizi Regional Police spokesperson SP Samson Kasasira, the body of the deceased was thereafter conveyed to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital mortuary for postmortem to guide police investigations into his death.
