NAKASERO: The Newly appointed Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Executive Director, Ms. Sharifah Buzeki and her deputy Benon Kigenyi have officially taken their oath of office.

The held at City Hall marks the beginning of the two heads tenure, with expectations for them to lead Kampala into a new era of progress and improvement.

In her remarks as the new Executive Director of Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA), Ms Sharifah Buzeki, highlighted her commitment to addressing key challenges in the city.

She has emphasized that one of her top priorities will be fighting corruption within the authority, ensuring transparency and accountability in KCCA operations.

The authority has been without a substantive technical leader for some time now after the arrest of the then Executive Director Dorothy Kisaka and her deputy, David Luyimbazi.

The arrest of the two was linked to the ongoing investigations into the Kiteezi landfill tragedy that claimed the lives of over 30 people in the last months.
