The Kabale Muslim District Council Calls for PHC Fund on Kirigime Health Center III
KABALE: The Kabale district Muslim council have raised their bitterness over the government negligence on the Muslim based Kirigime Health facility on the PHC (Public Health Care fund) yet the facility has been embracing all government programs.
This was revealed over the weekend by the Kabale District Khadi Sheik Kabu Lule during the inauguration ceremony of the new Kirigime Health Center III Management committee in southern Division Kabale Municipality.
Speaking to this reporter, Sheik Kabu Lule expressed his concern on how the facility is being left out of PHC despite offering the same services like other benefiting health units the likes of Rushoroza Hospital and Rugarama which are for Catholic and Protestants respectively.
The District Khadi added that Kirigime Health Center III offers services 24/7 and needs to be equipped with many enabling mechanisms like an independent operating theatres and others.
The new Kirigime Health Center III Management committee will be chaired by Mr. Byaruhanga Muhammad who pledged to lobby for Health Camps aimed at surgeries in Next Years.
