KAMPALA: The two students sponsored by the Kanungu based independent church have graduated with a diploma in Biblical Studies from the East Africa Bible College in Kampala.

Ampumuza Isaiah 26 and Muhumuza Moses 27 who have been under Independent Baptist Church of Kanungu sponsorship are the first ever Baptist College students from Kanungu to graduate with a diploma in Biblical Studies.

Leading as the guest preacher at the graduation ceremony, held at the College premises in Kampala last week, the Overseer independent church Kanungu Pastor Tumwebaze Stephen encouraged graduates, relatives and friends, church members and missionaries to run the Christian race well.

Through his message Titled Running the Race from the book of Hebrews (12:1-3) and 1 Corinthians (9:24) Pastor Stephen, Charged the graduates to stay committed even though the going gets tough, as it’s a source of great inspiration to all.

“Do you remember the man who came to Jesus & said, ‘I’ll follow you wherever you go? Jesus said, before you make that commitment, you need to realize that foxes have holes and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.’ When people start the Christian life, and then quit when the going gets tough, they can become an object of ridicule to some and a source of discouragement to others.” Said Pastor Tumwebaze Stephen.

Ampumuza Isaiah is the Son of Mr. Turinawe Frank and Mrs. Tumuhirwe Rovinah Residents of Kishamba Cell/Parish, Southern Ward and Muhumuza Moses also a Son to Pastor Tumwebaze Stephen and Mrs. Caroline Tumwebaze of Mashenga Cell, Western Ward, both from Kanungu Town Council, Kanungu Districts.

The two graduates are the first ever Baptist College students from Kanungu to graduate With a Diploma in Pastoral Theology From the one of the Best Bible colleges in the whole of East Africa.
