The Census enumerators and Parish supervisors, to undergo a 9 days Training.

NEWS: As Uganda prepares to conduct the National Population and Housing Census 2024, the Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) has rescheduled the training for the Census enumerators and Parish supervisors, to tomorrow 30th April.

In a letter written and signed by the Executive Director/ Census Commissioner, Chris N. Mukiza the training for the Census Enumerators and Supervisors will last for 9 days which will conclude on 8th May 2024.

The training of the Census enumerators and Parish supervisors will be conducted by the District Census Officers, Assistant District Census Officers, District IT officers and District Technical officers who underwent a comprehensive 9 days training at Speke Resort Hotel, Munyonyo.

Last week, the Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) started dispatching materials to be used in the National population and housing census, in their respective districts which included Tabs, T-shirts, bags, and enumeration aprons, among others.

The National Population and Housing Census 2024 will be conducted from 10th May to 19th May this year under the Theme “It Matters to be counted!.”

The President of Uganda, His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, launched the NPHC 2024 activity on 12th December 2023 following the activity which was last done 10 years back in 2014.
