PICTORIAL: The Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon. Anita Among has emphasized the importance of uplifting standards of the most disadvantaged women, especially those in rural communities.
The speaker was today addressing women leaders in the Women’s Movement at her office, discussing strategies meant to support, encourage, and improve their livelihood from the grassroot level.
She encouraged women leaders to connect with women in the local communities , understand their challenges, and explore ways to support them in all ways possible.
Rt. Hon. Anita Among further appreciated the leaders for their honest views on how, as leaders, can advance the women’s agenda in Uganda.
