Rukiga DRDC Arrested Over Alleged Cattle Theft and Land Grabbing.
Arrested Rukiga DRDC Ivan Kamuntu Semakula Majjambere
The Rukiga District Deputy Resident District Commissioner – DRDC Ivan Kamuntu Ssemakula Majambere has been arrested by the State House Anti-Corruption Unit- SHACU over alleged cattle theft and land grabbing.
Ssemakula was today apprehended from Rukiga district by a team from the State House Anti-Corruption Unit with the help of police in Rukiga district.
Available information indicates that in 2020 he was involved in a land grabbing scandal where he connived with some people using forged state house letters which he also used to steal cows in Gomba District.
Mariam Natasha, the communication Manager at the State House Anti-Corruption Unit has confirmed the arrest of Ivan Kamuntu Ssemakula Majambere.
“Our team in collaboration with Rukiga District Police have arrested the Rukiga Deputy RDC Ivan Kamuntu Ssemakula and has been transported to Gomba District where he committed the crimes”. Natasha said
She however did not provide details of the cases against the troubled DRDC, asking our reporter to wait for the court details on Thursday.
