Rubanda district to increase Quota Admission’s Scheme benefiting students.

RUBANDA: Rubanda district local government Leaders advocating for an increase of the District Quota Admission’s Scheme beneficiaries from the current 6 to at least 10 or 15 students.

This was revealed by the Rubanda District Boss Hon. Ampeire Steven Kasyaba while officiating at the 2024/2025 academic year district Quota Admission’s Scheme beneficially verification.

At the function held on Monday at the District headquarters the 6 students who performed well in last year’s UACE Exams were successfully identified and are both from schools in Rubanda district.

The six students include; Twikirize Betty and Ayebare Betty from St.Agatha Girls Secondary school Kakore ,Niwatwine Anitah and Arinda Pamella all from Muko High school, Kato Dismus from Bufundi College and Tumwebaze Honest From Bubare Secondary school.

Addressing the students and their head teachers, the Rubanda district LC V Chairperson Ampeire Steven Kasyaba said that they are looking forward to increasing the Number of Beneficiaries with other best performers may be left behind.

He attributed the high performance to the unity between the school head and the district stakeholders thus challenging the students and the beneficiaries to appreciate whatever their parents have given them.

The district boss added that most of the students are over taken by earthly pressure that end up winning their future and sounded a warning to them against thinking of jobs at an early stage.

“Most of the students are normally taken away by sugar daddies and Mummies who are after destroying their lives only. I want you to be focused, make sure that book and academic qualifications remain your priority and after graduation it’s when you should think otherwise,” said Steven Kasyaba.

Some of the students Niwatwine Anita 17 Aggregates, Arinda Pamela 17 Aggregates and Kato Dismus 18 Aggregates challenged their fellow students in secondary schools to work hard like they did if they were to enjoy fruits from the government through district quota Admission scheme.
