Police Hunts for Killers of 20 year old man in Kabale .
KABALE: Police in Kabale District have launched a man hunt for yet unknown murderers who allegedly killed a casual labourer employed as security guard to a construction site belonging to All Saints church.
The deceased has been identified as one Kikoko in his late 20s a resident of Kigongi ”A” cell, Kigongi ward, central division in Kabale Municipality. His body was discovered with fresh injuries alongside the Road.
The Kigezi Police Spokesperson ASP Elly Maate told our reporter that the incident was reported to police by Dr. Mayanja Benjamin a Health worker residing in Kigongi A.
Using his cellphone Dr. Mayanja notified police that he had physically found a human dead body of someone whom he only knew a knick name Kikoko behind his residence.
Maate said that Mayanja confirmed to the police that before seeing the body he heard people talk about it when he was inside his house.
The police Spokesman further said that the officers went and documented the scene of crime, retrieving the body to Kabale referral hospital mortuary for examination.
“We got the information on the phone from Dr. Mayanja Benjamin, who confirmed that there is someone he had found dead behind his residence and he only knew his nickname of Kikoko. Our men went there and are investigating the matter only that no arrest has been made as of now.” Said Elly Maate.
Maate added that the canine was introduced to the scene of crime to track for the suspects but it never led the tracker to anyone and that no arrest has been made with the investigations ongoing to trace for the suspects in the matter.
