KAMPALA: The Kampala Metropolitan Police has donated helmets and Reflector jackets to Boda Boda Cyclists in a move to promote road safety during the Christmas season.

The donations were delivered by a team led by SSP Don Muhwrezi, the Kampala Metropolitan Police Community Laison Officer, during a community outreach program at Bwaise Taxi Park.

The donated items are a reminder and and an encouragement aimed at preparing the cyclists for the Christmas festivities that usually increase traffic on the ever busy Kampala roads.

The event was also aimed at sensitizing participants on maintaining a crime-free season, targeting taxi operators, and local communities.

SSP Don Muhwezi noted that the importance of safe driving practice is wider and that it can safe guide both the rider and the customers.
