Outgoing RDC Urges Successor to Champion Economic Transformation.

RUKIGA: In a significant handover ceremony held on Thursday, Mr. Nayebare Kyamuzigita officially concluded his tenure as the (RDC) of Rukiga and handed over responsibilities to Mr. Kamusime Zadoch.

The event took place at the Resident District Commissioner’s office in Muhanga Town Council Rukiga District.

During the ceremony, Kyamuzigita urged Zadoch and his team to passionately promote economic transformation whenever possible. “It is crucial that you champion economic development and leverage every opportunity to advance this cause,” Kyamuzigita stated.

He particularly commended the district’s engagement in a coffee-growing campaign, which he believes has the potential to significantly improve household incomes emphasizing that the initiative is in line with the core principles of the National Resistance Movement (NRM).

Kyamuzigita also stressed the importance of maintaining and enhancing cooperative efforts among district stakeholders and advised Zadoch to respect each individual’s contributions and understand the weight of the responsibilities entrusted to him and his team.

The incoming RDC, Kamusime Zadoch, expressed his sincere appreciation to President Yoweri Museveni for the opportunity to serve and assured that he would work to guarantee that every voice in the district is heard and valued as he takes on his new role.

“I am committed to serving with dedication and inclusivity,” Zadoch promised.

The ceremony was attended by key figures including District Police Commander (DPC) SP Hussein, Deputy LC V Hon. Niwandinda Samuel, and Tumwesigire Gideon.

The handover marks a new chapter for Rukiga district, with Zadoch poised to build upon Kyamuzigita’s achievements and drive ahead the district’s economic and community development initiatives.
