Ntungamo Rotary Club Embarks on New Projects, Inducts New Members

NTUNGAMO: The District Governor Eng Agnes Mungati Batengas Rotary District 9214 of Uganda and Tanzania has called upon Rotarians to work hard and guarantee sustainable growth of the club.
Eng Batengas a Rotary Club member of Dar es Salaam Sunset urged all members to mobilize for more members if the Rotary club Ntungamo family leaves a legacy for many years.
She praised the club’s exceptional work in fostering connections between young and old and encouraged them to continue making a lasting impact on the community through impactful projects.
DG Batengas made remarks yesterday evening at Ankole Resort and Spa during her official working visit to Rotary club Ntungamo.
The governor’s visit kicked off with a symbolic ground breaking for the construction of patients’ waiting shade at Ntungamo health care center IV and the induction of two new members.
The President Rotary club Ntungamo Johnson Mwijuka highlighted projects achieved including Kyarwehunda community nursery and primary school,Kagugu water, and patient waiting shade at Ntungamo health center IV and other projects to be done.
Rotarian Mwijuka hailed the District Governor and her entourage for a working visit and all the club members for commitment and dedicated services to benefit the community.He pledged to increase membership from the current standing of 24 members.
Project focal person Rotarian Justin Rwakakooko PHF noted that the Patient waiting shade at Ntungamo health center IV Which will cost over UGX 8 million is to enhance health care services among the population.
The newly inducted members were the acting Ntungamo district health officer sister Beatrice Chemisto Wamasembo and Kasasira Herbert deputy head teacher Kyamate secondary school.
Attending were the Ntungamo municipality town clerk Tumwesigye Isaiah, deputy mayor Kyomukama Loi Tumwesigye and health center in Charge Dr Kansiime Julius.
