KABALE: The Ndorwa East legislator Hon Wilfred Niwagaba has warned students against gambling activities like betting, that may end up costing both their future and parents trust in them.

MP Wilfred Niwagaba sounded a warning while addressing believers on Sunday at St Peter’s Rwanshenyire Catholic Hiika under Muyumbu Center, Rushoroza Parish in Kabale district at the thanksgiving aimed at tiling the floor of the church.

The Legislator implored the parents to always have time for their children, always visit them at school, give them advice and listen to their concerns as the growing men and women.

“Parents, you should always have enough time for your young ones. Don’t leave them to go to school and come back without you going to visit them. Listen to their concerns and be their best friends whom they can share with. And for you students to be disciplined, stop engaging in betting activities, they will win your future” said Wilfred Niwagaba.

Hon Wilfred Niwagaba also told the Youth to embrace education, set vision and goals in their studies, concentrate in books, join positive groups that will not let them end up in drug abuse like alcoholism, things that may force them dropouts of school.

Representing the Kabale woman MP at the function, Hon Asiinga Bridget Tumwesigye, the Kyanamira sub county woman councilor, appreciated the Hon Wilfred Niwagaba for his commitment in contributing to all the churches without segregation and discrimination.
