RUBANDA. The State Minister for Finance and General Duties, Hon. Henry Musasizi Ariganyira, has fulfilled his pledge of 313 galvanized iron sheets to Muko Archdeaconry in Muko Sub County in Rubanda District.

Musasizi, who is also the Rubanda East Member of Parliament, delivered his donation yesterday, through Rubanda District LC.5 Chairman Ampeire Stephen Kasyaba, during the thanksgiving of Venerable Ernest Nkwasibwe, who was also celebrating his 60th Birthday, at Muko C.O.U Archdeaconry.

The 313 iron sheets are meant to roof Muko Archdeaconry, which is currently under construction. According to the BOQs documents, the archdeaconry needs 600 iron sheets.

Chairman Kasyaba lauded Minister Musasizi for donating half of the required iron sheets needed to roof the archdeaconry.  Kasyaba reiterated that him and Musasizi would continue to support the construction works at the New Church building until the work is completed.

Chairman Kasyaba cautioned against political divisionism based on geographical and Political boundaries regarding the only two District’s constituencies, Rubanda East and Rubanda West. He further warned against politics of identity, origin, and religion, saying a leader is for all people, irrespective of their nationality, origin, tribe, or religion.

“Why should people who stay together, attend local gatherings together, and speak the same language but get divided during election time?” he asked.

Chairman Kasyaba urged Christians to shun those who bring politics of division, saying weak candidates spread politics of divisionism rather than manifestos and uniting the community.

Venerable Ernest Nkwasibwe, the Spiritual Overseer of Muko Archdeaconry, expressed gratitude to Minister Musasizi for timely honoring his pledge. He also acclaimed Rubanda District LC5 Chairperson . Ampeire Stephen Kasyaba for balancing his development activities both Rubanda East and West.

Mr. Friday Rwamahe, a synod member in the Diocese of Kigezi, challenged Christians to always support  Kasyaba and Musasizi  when the need arises, highlighting the achievements the district has registered from the collaboration between the Minister and the entire district leadership.
