Kisoro’s One-Year-Old School Granted 2-Year License for Exceptional Academic Achievement
Kisoro, Uganda – Kisoro Grammar Junior School has been pledged an operating license valid for two years by the Kisoro Municipality Education Department.
The decision was announced by Sabiti Mugyema Emmanuel, the Principal Education Officer of Kisoro Municipal Council, during the school’s first graduation ceremony, where 12 top-class pupils were honored.
The proposal to grant a license to Kisoro Grammar Junior School was in recognition of the school’s outstanding performance in the 2024 PLE results.
Mugyema Emmanuel emphasized the importance of teamwork and support from parents and teachers to further develop the school and promote education in the municipality.

He further urged both teachers and students to report on time on Monday, February 3rd, 2025, to ensure a strong start on the Syllabus and the new term.

Victor Mfitundinda, the head of Kisoro Grammar Junior School, noted that the school faces challenges such as delayed payments and irregular attendance, but has made progress in providing balanced meals and employing quality teachers.

The school director, Byiringiro Morris, advised former students, now in senior one, to prioritize discipline in their next level of secondary education.
The new PTA chairperson, Richard Niyonzima, pledged to collaborate with parents and teachers for better development.

The school which started last year, has shown an impressive performance has encouraged many parents to enroll their children, with eight candidates achieving first-grade results out of 13 primary seven candidates.
