ACCRA: Kenya’s President William Samoei Ruto has continued to gannet support for the former Presidential Candidate Raila Amolo Odinga’s African Union Commission chairperson bid.

President Ruto emphasized his course while Joining other world leaders at Black Star Square in Accra, Ghana for the inauguration of H.E. John Dramani Mahama, the newly Elected President of the Republic of Ghana.

The Renowned Kenyan opposition leader Raila Odinga officially announced his candidacy for the Chairperson position of the African Union Commission (AUC), setting the stage for a historic leadership bid.

Upon his chairmanship bid the Kenya’s veteran politician Raila Odinga declared his readiness to contest for the influential role, highlighting his extensive consultations with allies before making the decision.

Showing his endless support to his former contender, President Ruto has met several leaders including; the Equatorial Guinea Vice-President Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue and President H. E. Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé of Togo.

Other leaders who have pledged their support for Raila’s candidacy are; H. E. Duma Gideon Boko the president of Botswana, H. E. João Lourenço President Angola and the East African Leaders.

President William Samoei Ruto has continuously emphasized that having Raila as the AU Chairperson, Africa’s future will be shaped by inclusive dialogue among all stakeholders on the continent’s transformation agenda.

This includes reforms of the African Union, peace and security, and continental integration to enhance the private sector’s role in development under the African Continental Free Trade Area Agreement.
