Kamayangi Gloria donates a Computer set to Murambi secondary school.
NTUNGAMO: The Aspiring Ntungamo District Woman Member of the Parliament Hon. Kamayangi Gloria has charged the government to equip grassroots Schools with the ICT Learning Materials.
Hon. Gloria revealed this on Saturday while delivering a computer set to Murambi secondary school aimed at enabling students to acquire ICT skills as a way of fulfilling the government policy to enhance computer literacy in the country.
Under the Kamayangi Gloria Foundation, Gloria confirmed to this reporter that all the Schools in the country need to be treated the same given the fact that at the end of every cycle Learns meet the same questions that need the same answers.
“All Schools need the same treatment. But if you look at how some schools in the Country are taken care of, it’s totally different from these other local schools. The most disappointing part is when they are doing the final exams; those who have computers will be competing with those without. Government must intervene” said Gloria Kamayangi.
Hon. Kamayangi Gloria further called on the Students at the school to strengthen their capacities as Generational leaders and to be disciplined within the given time as a way of turning their future into a brighter one.
Receiving the computer on behalf of the School, the School’s Chairman board Mr. Bitariho Sabastian, who’s also the LC III Chairperson Rwikiniro Sub County, said that the school is still lacking ICT Learning Materials to equip the Learners with the ICT Knowledge.
A campaigned by the Deputy Chairman Board one Crenerio, Mr. Bitariho said the government introduced the plans of having a fully equipped Seed secondary school in every Sub-county and Town Council in a way of enhancing the country’s education sector.
The Head teacher Murambi Secondary School located in Murambi parish, Rwikiniro Sub County – Ruhaama Amanya Dinah appreciated Hon, Kamayangi Gloria for the support, pledging to put efforts in ensuring that the computer is put under the proper usage.
