Hon. Ankunda Grace Bekunda Urges the Youth to Join a fight against Drug abuse.
KABALE: The Aspiring Kabale Woman Member of Parliament Hon. Ankunda Grace Bekunda, has emphasized the importance of avoiding drug abuse among young people.
Grace Bekunda was speaking as the guest of Honor at the opening of a football match between Katuna Town Council vs Kamuganguzi sub county at Janan Lumum Memorial Secondary School Playground in Kamuganguzi, Ndorwa West, Kabale District.
In her speech, Hon. Grace Bekunda urged the youth to avoid engaging themselves in taking alcohol, marijuana, and other harmful substances that may end up winning their lives.
She added that indulging in these behaviors would not lead to success or a bright future thus encouraging the youth to practice self-love and seek advice from their parents and elders, who can provide valuable guidance and knowledge.
“Respecting your parents is a sign of gaining knowledge and wisdom. Young people can learn from their mistakes and successes, and make rightfull decisions that will help you achieve your goals,” said Grace Bekunda.
Joseph Muhumuza youth councillor Katuna Town Council expressed his appreciation Hon. Ankunda Grace for supporting the youth in games and sports and for facilitating both teams.
