Former security guard at Lift up Jesus Global Ministry Premises Didas Tibeijuka, laid to rest in Kabale.

KABALE: Didas Tibeijuka Bijenje, 73, a night security guard at Lift up Jesus campus and Hope Radio program panelist, was on Tuesday 23rd July 2024 laid to rest at his home in Kicumbi cell, Kamuganguzi Sub-county, Kabale District. 

Born in 1951, Didas passed away on Sunday, 21st July 2024, after being knocked down by an over speeding Vehicle in Mwanjari Business Center along the Kabale-Katuna road. 

He sustained severe injuries and was referred to Kabale Regional Hospital, where he was admitted in critical condition.

Didas was a milk seller and a renowned figure on the Obunyakare program, which airs every Saturday from 10 pm to 12 am on Hope Radio and was influential in discussing Runyankole Rukiga proverbs and topics.

The Late was survived by two wives, Kedress Tibeijuka and Ampeire Sophia, as well as 15 children and 43 grandchildren.

During the funeral service at his home in Kicumbi cell, Kamuganguzi Sub-county, Kabale District, Pastor Margret Kiiza, representing the overseer of Lift Up Jesus Global Ministries Bishop Alyosious Kiiza, described the late as a man who loved his work.

Fellow Obunyakare program guests, Pretty Ampurire, Yesu Ariyo Yared (aka Muzeyi Rwampinsi) and Kamwebaze Fled (aka Muzeyi Minago), described Didas as a social person who enjoyed the program.

Program hosts Libino Byamukama And Sadress Tiyitu praised Didas for his research skills and influence on the program, particularly in interpreting proverbs and discussing African traditional society topics. 

They also appreciated Didas’s ability to create challenging tongue twisters. Sons and Daughters of the late remembered their Father as a loving father who enjoyed playing with them and worked hard to promote unity among his step-children.
