Dr. Byanyima Rosemary Kusaba Catches a Big Fish, Appointed the Executive Director of the National Referral Hospital.
NATIONAL: Uganda’s President Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has appointed Dr. Byanyima Rosemary Kusaba as the New Executive Director of Mulago National Referral Hospital.
Dr. Byanyima Rosemary was handed the same office as the acting ED, since last year after the then Executive Director of the National Referral Dr. Baterana Byarugaba, was indicted on allegations of financial mismanagement.
Dr. Baterena Byarugaba was interdicted by Health Ministry Permanent Secretary Dr. Diana Atwine after serving in the capacity for over 11 years.
Dr.Byarugaba was arrested after investigations by the Health Monitoring Unit linked him to mismanagement of the national referral and causing financial loss of up to 28 billion Shillings.
The new Executive Director of Mulago National Referral Hospital Dr. Byanyima holds an Executive Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Eastern and Southern African Management Institute (ESAMI), complementing her extensive medical training.
