Constructor Cautioned on Timely Completion of Rukoni Health HC III Structure.
NTUNGAMO: Ntungamo district stakeholders have told the Rukoni Health Centre III constructor to speed up and finish the remaining construction work at the facility.
Led by the District RDC Isiah Kanyamahane the stakeholders were on Wednesday 15th Jan 2025 doing a site inspection meeting at Rukoni health centre Facility.
The remaining construction works at the health Unit include the painting of structure walls, installation of ceiling, shaping the verandas among others.
RDC Kanyamahane emphasized the importance of completing the structures on time, stressing that there has been Congestion at the facility but once work is completed it provides enough space.
The RDC further urged the locals to avoid malicious mischief and stealing of materials from the site, citing concerns that such actions delay the completion of the project, pleading to take action to whoever planned to sabotage.
The Rokoni West LC III Chairperson Frank Mwiine attributed the achievement at the facility to the government of Uganda, calling upon the constructor to double their efforts in completing the remaining work on time.
“We are overwhelmed by the number. Patients flock in from different areas but fail to have enough space to stay. I kindly ask the contributor to help us work on the remaining things here to create a breathing space for our people.” Said Frank Mwiine.
Peter Nkurunungi of Geses engineering Co Limited the contributor attributed the delay in completing the work at the site to delay in availing funds to them.
Nkurunungi pledged to have the work handed over on time since the fund was already in their docket to continue with the project and the work resumed.
The site meeting was attended by a number dignitaries including; Mr Mathias Ndifuna the District CAO, District Councilors like Ms Bibiana Kakinoni, Elaijah Atuhaire, and Ms Grace Twinomugisha who both called upon people fully join government initiatives.
