The training incorporated both theoretical and practical sessions with the Participants getting an opportunity to watch demonstrations by both the Uganda Prisons and Police Canine Units, showcasing the diverse breeds and their capabilities in various operational scenarios.
According to the Superintendent of Prisons (Livestock Development and Entomology) Ms. Generous Betunga Behabura, the training was focused on the critical role and effective management of canines in enhancing prison security.
