Bishop Gaddie Akanjuna Charges Christians to Create an outstanding Legacy for the next generations.
KABALE: The Kigezi Diocesan Bishop Rt Rev Gaddie Akanjuna, has called upon believers to protect their name as an outstanding Legacy for the benefit of the next generation to come.
The Bishop was speaking to the gathering on Wednesday, July 17th 2024, at St. Phillips Estates Bugongi Church of Uganda Parish under All Saints Church Archdeaconry in Kigezi Diocese, where 107 Christians were confirmed into the Anglican faith with the 3 couples also wedded.
Bishop Gaddie Akanjuna told Christians that a Christian having a positive outstanding Legacy will have a great impact for the wellbeing of the great grandchildren to come even when a man or a woman has died.
He added that the world will have to judge according to what someone left or did when still alive, with the outcome greatly pointing on the entire relatives that will be leaving by then.
“When you protect your name as a woman or man, it brings respect to the entire family and others. The positive legacy of a good name will benefit your future generations to come, especially your children. The world will stand to judge either positively or negatively.” Said Bishop Gaddie Akanjuna.
Bishop Akanjuna encouraged the confirmands and the wedded couples to always reflect on their vows in protecting their name among communities, as this will earn them respectfulness within the public.
He added that the newly confirmed Christians must turn away from their past behaviours and start doing what is right and Godly ahead of them remembering what they have learnt about the Kingdom of God for them to stay within the rightful path and to continue walking along with Jesus Christ.
Speaking to us after the service Some of the new confirmands promised to put into action what they have been learning during their Christian course together with what the Bishop instructed had guided.
