Bishop Ahimbisibwe Lauds Radio Ankole’s Social-Economic Impact

Ntungamo, Uganda – Bishop South Ankole Diocese, the Rt Rev Nathan Ahimbisibwe, has commended Radio Ankole for its exceptional work in fostering programs aimed at social-economic transformation of communities.
He emphasized that Radio Ankole is the top radio station in the South Western region, with impactful programs aligned with government initiatives to eradicate poverty at the household level.
Bishop Ahimbisibwe made these remarks while praying and blessing the forthcoming Radio Ankole anniversary, dubbed “Ekijumeero Kya Radio Ankole,” scheduled for July 5, 2025, at Kyamate playground in Ntungamo Municipality.
The Bishop expressed gratitude to the management and staff, led by station manager Elly Katahinga, for organizing the event and to head of marketing Immaculate Kyomukama for resource mobilization. He pledged his total support for the event’s success.

Elly Katahinga, Radio Ankole’s station manager, praised Bishop Ahimbisibwe for preaching the gospel, which has enabled the diocese and Ntungamo district to develop.
Katahinga noted that the annual Ekijumeero kya Radio Ankole will be a massive event, attracting listeners, politicians, business leaders, religious leaders, and artists.

Immaculate Kyomukama, the station’s accountant, revealed that Radio Ankole has organized various activities, including sports and entertainment, to give back to the community.
She thanked Bishop Ahimbisibwe for his service and prayers, and announced that entry fees for the event will be UGX 10,000 for ordinary tickets, UGX 20,000 for VIP, UGX 500,000 for tables, and UGX 1 million for platinum tickets.
