Believers Encouraged to embrace farming and animal husbandry for their household well-being.
KABALE: Residents of Muyumbu Village, Kyanamira Sub-County, Ndorwa East Constituency in Kabale District have been encouraged to embrace farming and animal husbandry as workable means to generate income and improve their household well-being.
The remarks were made by the hopeful Member of Parliament for Ndorwa East Hon. Dr. Akampumuza James Rutanga, during the fundraising event aimed at completing the multi-billion shilling Muyumbu Catholic Church in Muyumbu Village, Kyanamira Sub-County Kabale District.
Dr. Akampumuza emphasized that through farming and rearing animals, Parents can secure school fees, buy land, and undertake other significant projects that contribute to eradicating poverty within their families.
Of the 160 million shillings still need to finish the Muyumbu Catholic Church, Hon. Dr. Akampumuza contributed one million and pledged to continue supporting the project until its completion.
During the event, Dr. Akampumuza also distributed over 800 rosaries to the congregants, urging them to always pray and place their trust in Jesus Christ.
Byarugaba Godfrey, the Chairperson of Muyumbu Catholic Church, expressed his gratitude to Dr. Akampumuza Rutanga for his financial support and called on Ugandans to join them on November 16, 2024, to raise funds for the completion of the church, as directed by the late Fr. Kanyonza.
