Archbishop Kaziimba Begins Three-Day Pastoral Visit in South Ankole Diocese.
NTUNGAMO: The Most Rev Dr Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu, Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, has arrived in South Ankole Diocese for a three-day Pastoral Visit ahead of the 13th Diocesan anniversary on Sunday 19th January, 2025.
He was warmly welcomed on his arrival at Mogas fuel pump by the Rt Rev Nathan Ahimbisibwe, the Bishop of South Ankole Diocese, Mama Lillian Ahimbisibwe, Clergy, RDC Ntungamo Byarugaba Isaiah Kanyamahaane, assistant RDC Twakira Daniel Ntoreine, mothers Union, boda boda and jubilant Christians.
On Friday, the Archbishop will visit Kitunga Archdeaconry, where he will lay a foundation stone at St Mark’s Kitunga COU and later there will be a service.On Saturday, the Archbishop will visit St. Peter’s Kibingo COU Nyakyeera Archdeaconry, where he will lay the foundation stone at Kibingo and lead a service.
The Archbishop Dr Mugalu will conclude his Pastoral Visit in the Diocese on Sunday at St Matthew’s Cathedral Kyamate where will lead the service to celebrate its 13th anniversary since its beginning on 8th January 2012.
Speaking at the cathedral, Dr Kazimba thanked Christians for welcoming him to the diocese.
The South Ankole Diocesan Bishop the Rt Rev Nathan Ahimbisibwe hailed the Archbishop for visiting the diocese which coincides with the 13 years’ celebrations of existence calling upon all parishioners to come in big numbers on Sunday.
Bishop noted the archbishop will commission several projects including the Mothers union resource center, health and education facilities among others.
The RDC Ntungamo Byaruhanga Isaiah Kanyamahaane commended the bishop for being practical both in spreading the good news of God and income ventures among all parishioners.
