A woman throws her New Born baby in a toilet in Kayunga
KAYUNGA: Police in Kayunga District were yesterday forced to shoot in the air, to displace an angry resident who wanted to attack a married woman who gave birth to a bouncing baby boy and dumped him in the Toilet.
According to the residents a woman identified as Milly Mutonyi 21 came to her new marriage with the pregnancy and lied to her husband who knew that the pregnancy was in its early stages after she suspected that she bared while pregnant, disowned the pregnancy.
They told this reporter that after the husband had gone to work when Mutonyi gave birth, covered the baby in a Jacket and threw him to the Toilet.
The area Chairperson Mr. Fred Ssekatonya said that the woman after interrogation admitted that she was a student at Kitimba Bright College and got pregnant not knowing the clear father, left the school, abandoning all her things at the School.
The OC Kayunga Town council Police station Issa Katongole said that his men were able to rescue a baby alive and unharmed, taken for treatment as the mother was arrested and taken to Kayunga central station police to answer her charges.
