A woman admits on killing her husband by stabbing.
KAMPALA-UGANDA: Housewife in her 30s and an employee at NJ Business Solutions, have been arrested for stabbing of her husband to death.
The suspect in custody has been identified as Musimenta Ruth 30 who is alleged to have murdered Nsubuga James her husband at their marital home in Katikamu village, Mpoma Parish, Nama sub-county in Mukono district.
The incident happened in the night of 17th – 18th May 2024 and the suspect was arrested an intelligence led operation carried out by the Crime intelligence Unit in Mukono in liaison with Mukono Central Police station.
It’s alleged that the deceased was stabbed by his wife around the neck area, during his sleep that led to his death.
The suspect now in custody kept the body of the deceased in the bedroom for two days, till the on last Sunday, when the deceased’s body was recovered by police.
The Police Spokesperson SCP Fred Enanga told the press that the CI task team picked intelligence, indicating how the suspect was arranging to bury the body in a shallow grave, near the toilet.
The killer weapon of a knife was recovered, two army shoes and a toy pistol that belonged to the deceased were also recovered from the house.
The Police Spokesperson said that the police strongly condemn such acts of violence and brutality within domestic settings where tragic incidents bring an end to an abusive relationship between the couples.
Fred Enanga added that upon interrogation, the suspect admitted to killing her husband, in a premeditated manner, after she picked the knife and hid it in the bedroom and is being processed on murder charges.
