A wife arrested, her son at large, All Suspected to have strangled their Husband/Father to death.
KANUNGU: The Territorial police in Kanungu district have detained one Annet Sunday allegedly for the murder of her husband over Unknown reasons.
According to the Kigezi Police Spokesperson ASP Elly Maate the deceased has been identified as George Mpabuka a resident of Mashoko cell, Rushaka Parish, Nyamirama Sub County Kanungu district.
It’s alleged that, on the night of Thursday, the deceased was strangled and assaulted to death and body placed in the children’s bedroom of his house where it was found lying in a pool of blood with marks of violence.
Maate said that the police were notified who visited the Crime Scene, documented and the wife arrested to assist in investigations after she failed to give a full account of what befell the husband.
The Police Mouseprice added that the Postmortem was done, and the hunt to arrest Twinamatsiko Yosia son of the deceased who took off is underway as more inquiries also at hand and the Case was registered at Kanungu Central Police station under registration numbers CRB 246/2024.
