We need to reignite the East African Christian revival to sweep away corruption in Uganda. John Musinguzi of URA says.
KABALE: The Uganda Revenue Authority Commissioner General John Musinguzi Rujoki has said that reigniting the East African Christian revival can play a role in sweeping away corruption in Uganda.
The Commissioner General said this on Sunday while speaking as the Guest speaker at the 2nd annual Youth Diocesan Conference in the Diocese of Kigezi held at St Peters Rugarama Cathedral Grounds in Kabale Municipality.
John Musinguzi Rujoki said that the level of Corruption in the country has gone high, thus hindering the development of Uganda in many aspects.
He added that women have turned their bodies as business stock, engaging in fornication acts, others selling their bodies to get favor in advancing their careers.
“There has developed a habit of women giving their bodies to bosses so that they can be promoted to bigger offices. Others do sell their bodies to get money and other different favors. All these are killing our dignity as human being” said John Musinguzi.
The Commissioner General further encouraged people to support government by paying taxes, as it also reaches services near to them
The Bishop of South Ankole Diocese Rt. Rev. Nathan Ahimbisibwe, challenged the youth to be doers of God’s Word if they are to strengthen their relationship with their Lord Jesus Christ.
Bishop Nathan Ahimbisibwe told the youth to lay a strong foundation at their young age preparatory for their future old age, and continuing in faith.
