Rukiga district opens up the Interviews for the shortlisted applicants of the Probationer Police Constables in Kigezi.
RUKIGA: The Interviews for Probationer Police Constables have commenced in Kigezi Region with a total number of 20 shortlisted applicants, showing up for the recruitment process in Rukiga district.
A shortlisted group of 3 Females 17 males was today Monday seen engaged in doing different activities at the Rukiga Police Station Premises.
Speaking to the interviewees, the Police Headquarter Team Leader, Assistant Commissioner of Police ACP Emilian Kayima said that the selected individuals must join what they love and commit themselves to serving the Nation.
He added that applicants should not in any way fear, or feel intimidated during the process and must obey and follow the set guidelines.
Speaking to this Reporter, the Kigezi Police Spokesperson ASP Elly Maate said the applicants were shortlisted without favor or any form of malpractice, refuting claims that there was bribery in the process.
The Spokesperson added that the team is to conduct Probationer Police Constables Interviews in all districts within the Region, to start with Rukiga District today 6th May 2024, Kabale 7th May 2024, Rubanda 8th May 2024, Kisoro 9th May 2024 and break on Friday 10th May 2024 to enable the National Population and housing Census 2024 commencement.
The interviews will continue on Saturday 11th May 2024 in Kanungu followed by Rukungiri 12th May 2024 and end with Ntungamo District on 13th May 2024.
Maate highlighted the types of exercises the applicants are undergoing including; written oral interviews, Medical checkup, General body Check and Physical fitness by running a 5 Km race.
The activity was officiated in attendance of the officers including; ASP Namulinda Lizzie Department of Human Resource from the Headquarters, the Acting RPC Kigezi Mwebembezi Gilbert Kags, the OC station Rukiga ASP Kamusiime Aggrey among others.
