Kampala, Uganda – President Yoweri Museveni is set to resume his Parish Development Model (PDM) Zonal Tours on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, in the Kigezi Sub-region.
The tour is part of the President’s efforts to assess the progress and impact of the PDM initiative, which aims to boost household incomes and enhance wealth creation at the parish level.
During his visit, President Museveni will engage with PDM farmers, hold a live media interaction, and address a public rally in the sub-region.
He will also assess the effectiveness of the PDM program in Kigezi and engage with beneficiaries to understand their experiences and challenges.
The Presidential Press Unit (PPU) confirmed that the President’s tour will include visits to selected farmers to assess the implementation and impact of wealth-creation programs in the region.
Additionally, President Museveni will officially launch the Regional Zonal Industrial Hub, an initiative aimed at spurring industrial growth and providing employment opportunities for local communities.
This move is part of the government’s broader efforts to deliver on promises of socio-economic transformation, especially in rural areas, through programs such as Operation Wealth Creation and the Parish Development Model.
