Unknown Residents set on fire a House of their fellow in Kisoro district.

KISORO: Police in Kisoro district have launched a manhunt for unknown Residents who set a blaze at a home belonging to Jason Ntacyonzaba a resident of Zindiro village, in Kamonyi ward Kisoro Municipality.

Speaking to this Reporter Mr. Jason Ntacyonzaba said that yesterday at around 10:00 PM, found his house without electricity burning and all his properties worth millions of money including Academic Documents of both his and his wife destroyed.

“I was out of words when I came here yesterday at around 10:00 PM and found my house seriously burning. I was unable to enter to secure some items as the smoke had covered all the house, but my properties worth over 10 million shillings including our documents for me and my wife destroyed” said Jason Ntacyonzaba.

The LC II Chairperson Kamonyi ward Christopher Ndabarinze said that they were saddened by the incident suspecting that there could be people who set the house at braze either engaged in misunderstanding with the family.

The Chairperson appealed to the residents to always pass through rightful channels in resolving issues affecting them in their area ahead of them seeking proper guidance from the relevant offices.

The Fire and Rescue Brigade at Kisoro Police Station led by Friday Deogracious confirmed the accident saying that the fire was set by unknown people because the house was not installed with electricity.

Deogracious urged people to resist engaging themselves in such criminal activities in order to promote unity and confirmed that the Police will work hard to bring to book people involved in the fire incident.
