Kabale Road Accident Claims Life of 2-Month-Old Baby, 7 others Injured.
KABALE: The Territorial Police in Kabale have registered a single fatal road accident that claimed the life of a minor.
The accident occurred on Wednesday 22/01/2025 at around 10:00 a.m at Kabaraga along Kabale Mbarara road in Kabale district, where motor vehicle UBK650N Toyota hiace was involved.
It’s alleged that the Vehicle which operates Kasese Kabale route was coming from Mbarara side towards kabale when it reached Kabaraga, lost control and it over turned hence injuring 7 passengers and causing one death on spot.
The injured victims include; Katusiime saturina 20 a resident of Kakinga, Nabataki Gad a resident of Kisasi in Kabale, Biira Alice 47 a resident of Rwesikambu, Komugabe Rose 49 a resident of Mitooma district.
Others are Kyarisima Prudence 27, Ayebezibwe Precious 11 and Turyamutunga plus the deceased identified as Turyamureeba Mikiel 2 month old male juvenile.
The Kigezi Police Spokesperson ASP Elly Maate confirmed to the media that the scene was visited by ASP mucunguzi Wilson and team, victims were rushed to Kabale referral hospital using Kabale referral ambulance.
He added that body of the deceased was taken to Kabale hospital mortuary for the postmortem and the Motor vehicle towed to Kabale CPS pending inspection with the inquiries inquiries at hand to find the cause.
