Rukungiri Man Kills Wife Over Alleged Infidelity
RUKUNGIRI: Territorial Police in Rukungiri have arrested a Male adult allegedly for the murder of the wife whom he accused of infidelity.
The suspect has been identified as Tuhamize Sperius a resident of Nyabakobora village Bwanga parish Nyarushanje sub county Rukungiri district who allegedly murdered his wife one Kiiza Doreen 37.
It’s alleged that on Monday at around 11:00 pm, Tuhamize Sperius developed a domestic quarrel with the wife, picked a stick and assaulted her to death.
The suspect closed the house and reported himself at Kiyenje police post the next day before informing them of his actions.
The OC called at the police post connected with area Chairperson one Kanohire Benson of Nyabakobora cell check the condition of the victim at her home.
The Chairperson together with his Brother Byakoramu Wilson went to the home of the suspect and confirmed that indeed Kiiza Doreen was dead.
The Kigezi Police Spokesperson ASP Elly Maate confirmed the incident said that a case of murder was registered, the scene visited and documented.
Maate added that the statements were recorded from witnesses, an exhibit of a stick was recovered at the crime scene and the body was conveyed to Rwakabengo HC III mortuary for postmortem.

“We are having one Tuhamize Sperius in our custody a resident of Nyabakobora village Bwanga parish Nyarushanje sub county Rukungiri district, who allegedly murdered wife Kiiza Doreen 37 years after they both developed a domestic quarrel, a man accusing wife of infidelity.” Said Elly Maate.
Maate further said that inquiries ongoing, upon completion, the suspect will be arraigned before courts of law and answer charges properly.
