SACCO members warned against Luxury spreading.
SHEEMA: The general Manager Mushanga SACCO Limited in Sheema District Goden Nankunda has Cautioned SACCO Members against luxury spending during festive Christmas season.
Nankunda was speaking during the gifts awarding ceremony dubbed “Ekiterekye kya Christmas”, a function held Friday at the main branch in Nyamufumura Sheema Municipality.
Goden noted that people take a long time saving money but end up spending extravagantly on alcoholism, Prostitution among many bad acts that cause regrets.
“Members, we know it’s your money but please don’t withdraw and waste or overspend on Christmas as if there is no tomorrow. I want to thank you for choosing Mushanga SACCO over many others. We are a committed team and we pledge to offer you services satisfactorily” said Goden Nankunda.
Chairperson Supervisory Committee Ahimbisibwe Sam Barugahare charged members to remain steadfast and aim at developing individually as the SACCO developed.
He further encouraged members to apply for planned loans to avoid difficulty in remitting later and implored members to pull as many people among their friends to join Mushanga SACCO.
The Chairperson Board of Governors Bafaki Gerevazio implored members and the entire public to embrace the saving culture and further warned against using savings to commit offences like rape and unprotected sex which may lead members to attract HIV/AIDS.
Among the beneficiaries is Henry Bamwine from St Kagwa Branch who went home with a cow and who in his words appreciated the institution for its transparency ahead of giving back to its people.
In remarkable appreciation for the unwavering support towards SACCO’s development, the draw saw over 400 SACCO Members from across the 12 branches share on gifts that included 6 Cows, 188 Goats, 163 Hens, 441 Crates of soda and 383 Mushanga SACCO labelled t-shirts.
