FUFA Unveils Plans to Face-Lift Kyabazinga Stadium.
The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has unveiled plans to develop the Kyabazinga stadium in Bugembe Town Council, Jinja District, to international standards.
The was revealed by the FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo while transferring ownership of Busoga United Club to the Kyabazinga,the move aimed at promoting youth talent and stimulating job growth.
He said that the development of football in Busoga, its vision, a brief background of FUFA naming some of the Uganda Cranes players and legends who started their football journeys from Busoga.
Eng. Moses Magogo called for funding for the team up to a tune of sh500m per year and requested stakeholders and well-wishers to support the community team.
“Teams like Barcelona and Real Madrid among others are community teams and have lasted for years in the football world since their inception. We request Kyabazinga to support us because we expect to unite Busoga through football because we will be supporting one community team,” said Eng. Magogo.
The head of the governing body of football in Uganda presented Busoga United Team’s new logo and Jersey to the Kyabazinga which he signed on.
