Cardinal Francis elected new Pope
Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost has been elected as the 267th new pope and leader of the 1.4 billion Roman Catholics.
Francis, who takes on the name Pope Leo XIV was elected by the 133 cardinals today Thursday, May 8. He takes over from Pope Francis who passed away recently on Easter Monday.
