52932 Nursing and Midwifery students have started their UNMEB exams.

KAMPALA -UGANDA: The Uganda Nurses and Midwife Examinations Board (UNMEB) have deployed Uganda People’s Defense Forces (UPDF) to enhance security in the ongoing Nurses and Midwifery exams.

This was revealed by the UNME Board Executive secretary Mrs. Helen Mukakalisa on Monday while addressing Journalists on the status of Examinations at the Board center in Kampala.

She said that the examinations monitoring system is highly manned by the top managers assisted by UPDF officers to provide security in high risk areas, all done in a way of ensuring that the exams are well conducted. 

“The monitors that we have are of high level, they are top managers who make sure the examinations are well conducted. And exams actually are enhanced by the security, we have security from UPDF. It instills the security of examinations most especially in the areas like Kaabong” said Helen Mukakalisa.

Helen Mukakalisa added that 52932 nursing students sitting in 132 Examination centers are being examined for the diploma in nursing and midwifery as well as certificate levels, nationwide. 

The Examinations that started Yesterday Monday will take a break on June 14th after Theory Exams to allow Muslims celebrate Eid and resume on 24th to 28th June for Practical.
