Bishop Gaddi Akanjuna tells Christians to be discern in determining who to make their friends.
KABALE: The Kigezi Diocesan Bishop Rt. Rev Gaddi Akanjuna has emphasized a need of Christians surrounding themself with Friends/individuals who are beneficial and supportive at all times.
Bishop Akanjuna made these remarks on Sunday during a two in one service (Baptism and Thanksgiving) of Mr. Arthur Twesiime, who was remembering his Parents who passed away years ago.
Preceding over the service held at St. John’s Kamuganguzi Church of Uganda parish in Kamuganguzi Archdeaconry Ndorwa West, Kabale District Bishop Gaddi said that it’s essential to have good friends who will uplift and encourage you in your faith.
He told believers that it’s important to choose friends who share similar values and will support them in their spiritual journey as the choice to have friends can only be for an individual.
“Choose friends who will bring a positive influence in your life, who will support you in spiritual growth and help you to live a life that pleases God.” Said Bishop Gaddi Akanjuna.
The service concluded with a call to action for the congregation to reflect on their own friendships and to make a conscious effort to surround themselves with people who will help them grow in their faith.
