Police ‘hunt’ for Alien Skin over death of ex-gang member Top Dancer

Local musician Patrick Mulwana, popularly known as Alien Skin, is wanted by police in connection with the death of a former member of his Fangone Forest crew.
According to Katwe Police Division, Wilfred Namuwaya, alias Top Dancer, was picked up from his Ndeeba home over the weekend by a man identified as Musomali, who is linked to Fangone Forest, and taken at night to the group’s base in Kizungu, Makindye.
A police detective involved in the investigation said Namuwaya’s decision to quit the group had angered its leader. Before his death, Namuwaya reportedly told investigators that he was abducted and tortured on Alien Skin’s orders.
“They picked me up at my home, claiming that I stole something, and took me back. When they reached there, I was beaten, kicked by several people on orders of Alien, saying; Why did I leave the group?” Namuwaya recounted before his death.
A doctor at a Kizungu clinic, who requested anonymity, said Namuwaya was brought in the night and abandoned outside.
“He had severe internal bleeding beyond our capacity,” the doctor said. “We tried to save him through the night before referring him to Mulago hospital, but he was pronounced dead on arrival.”
Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Patrick Onyango claims that detectives are hunting for Alien Skin and several of his associates, identified as ‘Commander Mdogo’, Ibra Kabadiya, and Mijagulo, in connection with the fatal assault.
“The group severely beat Namuwaya and later dumped him at a clinic,” Onyango said. “We are pursuing all those involved, including Mulwana Patrick, alias Alien Skin.”
Police records at Katwe link Alien Skin and his group to a string of violent incidents. Last year, the crew stormed Nsambya hospital after a colleague was injured in a car accident, demanding medical forms from doctors.
When their demands were denied, they assaulted a doctor and two security guards, leaving three people seriously injured.
Alien Skin was arrested and remanded to Luzira Prison for several weeks before securing bail. In a separate incident the same year, he allegedly assaulted Ntale Tonny, a bouncer at Vox Bar in Makindye, after Ntale asked him and his entourage to comply with security procedures.
