Premiered on August 1, 2025, Eyes of Wakanda sheds light on the beautifully complex history of the Black Panther homeland, while allowing audiences to step into the history and lives of a War Dog.

For the uninitiated, a War Dog is an undercover agent of Wakanda sent all over the world to retrieve stolen vibranium weapons. For Black Panther enthusiasts, the concept of the War Dog is not new; however, this is the first series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe centered around them, their stories, lives and overall history.

Eyes of Wakanda pulls back the curtain on what it means to be a War Dog, showcasing the nuances behind the little details you would not expect to think about through the glance we got during Black Panther, like unexpected friendship, love on opposite sides, and duty vs glory.

It also gives us a glimpse into the history of the Dor Milaje and the superior tech we know Wakanda for, serving as a historical basis for some of the pillars of the high-tech, safe, influential, rich country we have grown to love and root for.

In addition to its unique take, the imagery of the animation was the perfect representation of the history of Wakanda. Featuring the Beautiful City, the War Dog Command Center and the Dora Milaje Compound, the aesthetic is the perfect depiction of a historical Wakanda down to the accents.

Though a short watch (four episodes), Eyes of Wakanda is a great watch for long-term MCU fans and new watchers alike, because it introduces nuances that a seasoned MCU fan would appreciate while engaging the newcomer with engaging stories that inspire curiosity about the rest of the universe.
