FDC aspirant found dead in Hoima home


Police in Hoima city are investigating the circumstances surrounding the mysterious death of Andrew Kyalisiima, a Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) aspirant for councillor representing Western Ward in Hoima district.

Kyalisiima’s lifeless body was discovered on Thursday morning inside his house in Kiryatete West Cell, a suburb of Hoima City. He had reportedly gone missing for two days prior to the discovery.

According to Godfrey Mucwa, the area LCI secretary for defence, the deceased, who lived alone, had not been seen by neighbours for two days, prompting concern.

With the help of local leaders, residents forcefully broke into the house, where they found his body. Police were immediately notified and responded to the scene to begin investigations.

Albertine region police spokesperson Julius Hakiza said preliminary findings showed no visible injuries on Kyalisiima’s body at the time it was picked up by police.
